Our all course combo training includes Adult, Child and Infant CPR, First Aid and Bloodborne Pathogens certification. The CPR/AED and First Aid certification is valid for 2 years and the Bloodborne Pathogens certificiation is valid for 1 year, per OSHA guidelines. Chapter 28 : Bloodborne - Transmission of Pathogens
Bloodborne Pathogens (BBPs) can be transmitted if infected blood or OPIM enter your body through the following routes of transmission:
- Parenteral exposure – a break in the skin (skin penetrating injury), such as: stick with a needle or other sharp object, illegal drug use, cut from broken glass, human bites, and abrasions
- Through a mucous membrane in the eye, nose, or mouth
- Sexual contact
